Introduction
The precursor to Commercial Vegetable Production Recommendations (CVPR) was first published by Dr. Bernie Pollack of the New Jersey Cooperative Extension Service, New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station nearly 50 years ago. The first edition consisted of seven pages of varieties recommended for production in New Jersey.
CVPR has grown substantially to encompass six Mid-Atlantic states (NJ, DE, MD, WV, VA and PA) and nearly all aspects of commercial vegetable culture. The publication now spans 252 hard-copy book pages with over 3,500 copies of the guide being distributed annually. [more ... ]
