Overview

For the past 27 years, the International Pepper Conference has attracted prominent scientists, researchers, breeders, horticulturists, pathologists, entomologists, geneticists, physiologists, virologists, extension agents, seed and chemical company representatives, major processors, growers, and chile aficionados from around the world and is now recognized as the premier venue for the dissemination and exchange of information on Capsicum.

This year’s meeting in Atlantic City, New Jersey will give people the opportunity to visit with others from around the world and share information in all areas of pepper production.  A focus of this year's meeting will be a symposium
co-sponsored by IR-4 focusing of Phytophora capsici, one of the most destructive pathogens in pepper production.

An all day field tour highlighting pepper production methods and facilities in southern New Jersey will conclude the meeting with a barbeque at the Rutgers Agricultural Research and Extension Center.
